B.Ed; Gateway to teaching the world

Bachelor of Education commonly known as B.Ed is a graduate professional degree which makes an individual equipped with all crucial knowledge and qualities to become a teacher in schools from primary to inter college level. By the time it has gained high importance among Indians and now all Indians who wish to be teacher initiates preparing for B.Ed entrance exam right from the commencement of their graduation. Some of universities offering admission in B.Ed without entrance exam.

Duration of B.Ed course

B.Ed is a 2 years course for persons who have completed graduation. NCTE has also provided an opportunity for candidates who are at their higher secondary stage of school. They can undergo Integrated 4 years BA+BEd and B.sc+ BEd program to fulfill their wish of being teacher and bring a revolution in society.

Eligibility criteria for B.Ed and BA+BEd

1. Minimum education qualification is graduation or post-graduation for B.Ed candidates and 10+2 (Min. 45%) for 4 years Integrated B.Ed course (BA+Bed & B.sc+BEd).

2. Final year graduation candidates can also fill the BED entrance exam application form.

3. Students need to appear in the entrance exam conducted by various states to make them eligible for admission in B.Ed. The exam is basically conducted in April-June for admission in course.

B.Ed Subject combination during 2 years 

Each student has to select 2 pedagogy subjects which should be studied in graduation or post-graduation for atleast one year.
